ASSIGNED: Thursday, March 8, 2007
DUE:Assignment 4: Thursday, March 15, 2007 in class
Assignment 5: Thursday, March 29, 2007 in class
GRADE WEIGHT:Assignment 4: 6%
Assignment 5: 7%

Description

These final two assignments will give you the opportunity to revise your previous assignments. For each of assignments 4 and 5, you may hand in a revised version of assignment 1, 2, or 3. You may only revise a given assignment once.

These revisions are optional. If you do not hand in any revisions, you will receive the average grade for assignments 1-3 for each of assignment 4 and 5. If you hand in one revision, you will receive the average of that and assignments 1-3 as your mark for assignment 5. For example, if you revise assignment 2 (only), then assignment 5 will be given the get the average of assignments 1, 2, 3, and 4 (the revised assignment 2).

Note: if you only hand in one revision, it may be handed in either March 15 or March 22. It will be equivalent to "assignment 4" in the above algorithm either way.

Your revised assignment should reflect your growing understanding of user interface design. In particular, you should now be able to clearly describe design features (good or bad) in terms of Nielsen and Norman's principles, psychological principles, modality, and user requirements.
